SAME-DAY CROWNS
WHAT ARE DENTAL CROWNS?
Dental crowns cover and restore the shape of damaged or missing teeth.
Our crowns are made from quality porcelain or ceramics that can last decades. Crowns come in two categories:
SINGLE-TOOTH
When one natural tooth is damaged and replaced
BRIDGE
When natural teeth are missing and replaced
HOW IS A SINGLE-TOOTH CROWN INSTALLED?
The process of installing a crown is in four stages:
PREP
The damaged tooth is cleaned and shaped to make room for the crown.
SCAN
Your dentist scans your mouth and designs a schematic for the crown.
CREATE
The schematic is sent to a machine that perfectly mills the crown.
INSTALL
The crown is cemented on top of your old tooth.
HOW IS A BRIDGE INSTALLATION DIFFERENT?
A Dental Bridge is made up of one or more false teeth.
Crowns are set on either side of the gap to properly anchor the bridge.
The "scan" and "create" stages will be the same as single-tooth crowns.
PREP
Teeth on either side of the missing tooth are cleaned and shaped to make room for the bridge.
SCAN
Your dentist scans your mouth and designs a schematic for the crown.
CREATE
The schematic is sent to a machine that perfectly mills the crown.
INSTALL
The crown is cemented on top of your old tooth.
*Crowns are required sometimes for partial dentures.
